Hello? Is this thing still on? I haven’t posted here in eons, but after coming across this brilliant app idea on a Tumblr blog I couldn’t help but click ‘Reblog.’ It seems with the vast abyss that the app store is becoming these days the number of extremely useful apps that remain to be created might be dwindling. But here’s a brilliantly simple app with universal utility. Wish I’d thought of it.

Powered by Google Street View technology, Google Art Project allows you to virtually tour some of the world’s most renowned art museums and galleries. Unfortunately, the Amsterdam hash is not part of the Van Gough Museum experience.

Only in the age of the internet…

Axe Cop, the webcomic about a super-tough cop with an axe, is written by six-year-old Malachai Nicolle and drawn by his 29-year-old brother Ethan. Dark Horse Comics picked up the story for print publication, and the first book came out less than a month ago. That’s all pretty cool, but you’re about to see the coolest part: Axe Cop has come to life as a short film…

Here’s a striking example of the power of minimalism. Check out this post for more examples of what the minimalist effect could do for some modern packaging.
